Taipei

All day Saturday and then Sunday morning I was in Taipei!!! Taipei is the capital of Taiwan and it is wayyyyyyy more busy than Taichung. We all caught a High Speed Train from Taichung to Taipei and it was vurry awesome and FAST :P  After that I caught my very first subway but I didn't have time to take a picture because we had to run onto it and then I was so squeezed in there that I couldn't get my camera out haha but the ride was fun :P
Subway Station
Next, we walked to National Taipei University so we could see the school and also meet up with people in the school. The atmosphere around this school is way more different, it is more modern and it is surrounded by a very busy Taipei City. After we had some pineapple and stuff we walked to our free dorm room for the night. Let's just say that I would not want to spend a year in these dorms :P Also the tape and stuff on the wall is because sometimes some students take tests early and they don't them to discuss the tests so they are put in here and not allowed to leave for a couple days >_< haha scary
After we dropped off our stuff we took a taxi and headed over to Taipei 101. It was crazy how tall this building is!!! It just towers over the city! We stayed in Taipei 101 for an hour or more and just looked around the city... it was raining :( but you could still see quite a bit!

After this we took a taxi to a KTV (Karaoke TV) building. For those of you that do not know, Karaoke is a HUGE deal over here. At our building there were 2 floors (o rmaybe even 3?) and there are karaoke rooms all over and you have a seperate room just so you can sing with your friends. You also get an unlimited buffet with your ticket (my teacher bought ours as a "welcome to Taiwan".. thanks lao shi!!!) We sang karaoke for 3 hours and it was a really good time. I sang some Lady GaGa, go figure, and my Fergalicious was also pretty spot on ;)
The night was really fun and I would definitely do it again. After, we went back to our dorms to sleep and in the morning went to the subway station. During this process one of the kids from my school was walking ahead of us and we all (including my teacher) said it would be funny if we hid behind this pillar and see what he would do when he noticed we weren't behind him anymore. Well, long story short we lost him and we spent the next 40 minutes trying to find him. Turns out he didn't realize until he had already put his coin into the gat and couldn't get back on the other side. I guess we deserved it :P but it was funny. Too bad I couldn't get lost because I stand out just a liittttttlllllleeeee bit more. For tonight we are eating with a friend from Taiwan we met and then shop possibly and then sleepy time for school tomorrow! eeee >_< woot woot! Now to practice characters!

再見我的朋友!!!
